Every two years an international team of Scout leaders (the “Odysseus Group”) are elected among the participants of the Eurosea meetings, to lead and coordinate all projects of Sea Scouting throughout Europe.
The Odysseus Group is currently formed by:
- Kristine Clemmensen- Rotne (Denmark)
- Thaïsa Van Speybroek (Belgium)
- Werner Strobel (Austria)
- Wiktor Wróblewski (Poland)
- Ernst-Jan Jacobsen (Netherlands)
- Laura Simarro (Catalonia)
The Catalan Federation of Scouting and Guiding (Federació Catalana d’Escoltisme i Guiatge, FCEG) is the major coordination frame in our country, which includes the current three Scout and Guide associations in Catalonia: Acció Escolta de Catalunya, Escoltes Catalans and Minyons Escoltes i Guies de Catalunya.
The Federation directly implies 20,000 children and young people, 4,000 of whom are Scout leaders, the real responsible human force of this great grass-root educational movement. All of them belong to a Scout Group (Agrupament Escolta) among more than 200 that develop the project weekly in a local level, triggering youth participation in alliance with the social network of their own municipality or county. More than 15,000 families are also frequently involved.
The Hosting Team is a small group of Scout leaders of FCEG who are in charge of Eurosea 14.
